Allergan’s proprietary VYCROSS filler technology used in Juvederm Volbella XC provides high concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance found in almost every cell in the body. VYCROSS technology was first introduced in the United States in 2013, when the FDA approved Juvederm Voluma XC, a filler appropriate for mid-face volume loss due to aging. Juvederm Volbella XC, which also contains the anesthetic Lidocaine, is a smooth gel that produces a natural look and feel, as well as long lasting results.
Juvederm Volbella XC can diminish “smoker’s lines’ (vertical lines above the lips), enhance the cupid’s bow (the “M” part of the center upper lip), emphasize the borders of lips, or add subtle fullness to lips.
